About the Creator

Ed McLean brings a rare combination of military discipline and international racing experience to everything he teaches. Ed's racing career spans nearly four decades, from early autocross and Formula Vee to earning an FIA Pro racing license in Formula Renault and competing in Formula Ford 2000 in Europe. A significant crash at Hockenheim eventually led him back to the US, where he found a new home in endurance racing as a regular on a competitive amateur team. His ten years in the USAF — first as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist, then as a commissioned Intelligence Officer and instructor at the Inter-American Air Forces Academy — shaped how he thinks about training and developing people under pressure. Ed is an MSF Level 2 Certified HPDE Instructor and a Sports Management Worldwide Motorsport Management graduate. He founded Warriors2Racers after recognizing that the veterans eager to race and crew lacked the experience to do so safely — and deciding that turning them away wasn't an option.
